One week as a 1L

After one week as a law student, I've realized that I certainly do not feel like a law student. Instead, my limited experience seems more analogous to an undergrad education on crack.

Here was my schedule for the first day of class:

Monday

6:00 AM - Wake up
7:00 AM - Leave for the Metro
8:00 AM - Arrive at school, go right to my 8:30 class to get a seat
8:10 AM - 30 people are already in the room to make sure they get a good seat
8:30 AM - Contracts begins
10:50 AM - Contracts ends
11 AM - Find a carrel at the library, start more reading
1 PM - Take a break from reading, eat lunch
1:15 PM - Back to reading at the library
3:00 PM - Torts begins
4:50 - Torts ends
5:05 - Finally get on a shuttle for the Metro
6:00 PM - Arrive at the apartment, start more reading
7:00 PM - Make dinner, read while eating dinner
7:15 PM - Start briefing cases
10:30 PM - Stop working
11:30 - Go to bed

Now, this isn't how it will always play out. I should qualify that schedule by explaining that we only got our books last weekend, and as such, did not have time to get ahead on the syllabus; in the future, I plan on being on Wednesday's work by the time class begins on Monday.
